Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Sony FE lens

The Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 is an advanced standard zoom lens, specially developed for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras with an E-mount. Although optimised for full-frame, this lens can also be used on APS-C models, where it provides an equivalent focal range of 42-112.5mm. This lens stands out for its versatile zoom range, suitable for a wide variety of applications from wide-angle to portraits, combined with a constant fast aperture of f/2.8. This guarantees consistent exposure across the entire zoom range, ideal for diverse lighting conditions.

The second generation of this popular lens features a redesigned optical design, resulting in higher resolution and significantly improved sharpness. The autofocus system has been replaced by an innovative Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive (VXD) mechanism, which guarantees fast, silent, and extremely accurate focusing for both photography and videography. Additionally, the exterior of the lens has been refined, and the minimum focus distance has been shortened to just 18 centimetres. A handy new connector has been integrated to optimise the workflow with the Tamron Lens Utility software, allowing lens settings to be easily adjusted and firmware updates to be performed quickly. This makes the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 a powerful and user-friendly choice for demanding photographers.
