Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary Sony E-mount lens

The Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary is a versatile and fast zoom lens, specifically designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras with a Sony E-mount. This lens is compact and lightweight, making it an ideal choice for various photographic and video applications, including landscape photography, portraits, street photography, architecture, and events. The lens offers a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 throughout the zoom range, ensuring excellent low-light performance and providing extensive control over depth of field. The optical construction, consisting of three aspherical elements and one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element, minimises distortion and chromatic aberrations, resulting in sharp images across the entire frame. The fast and quiet stepping motor makes this lens particularly suitable for video recording and tracking fast-moving subjects. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces lens flare and ghosting, ensuring improved contrast and accurate colour reproduction. With a minimum focusing distance of just 12.1 cm, this lens is also suitable for macro-style close-up photography. The rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a soft and pleasant bokeh quality. Thanks to its dust and splash-proof design, the lens can withstand light weather conditions.
