Cookies and tracking technologies
The Site uses only functional cookies that are necessary for the shop to operate. Cookies are small files that your browser stores on your device to remember preferences. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to warn you when cookies are being placed; some features may not function correctly in that case. We do not place advertising cookies without your consent.
If you arrive at the Site via a Google Ads advertisement and consent to marketing cookies, we store the ad click identifier (gclid) with your order. Once payment is confirmed, we report the order number, amount, and this identifier to Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure which ad led to a purchase. We do not share your name or email address for this purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie settings. For more information on how Google uses data: business.safety.google/privacy.
What we use your data for
- To provide our service: to process, deliver, and track your order, and to provide customer support (performance of a contract).
- To process payments and to link the transaction to the correct order.
- To comply with our accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation).
- To improve the Site based on aggregated usage data and your feedback (legitimate interest).
- To communicate with you periodically: order confirmation, shipping notification, and answers to your questions. We only send commercial communications with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How we protect your data
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. Traffic between your browser and the Site is encrypted via TLS. Access to order and customer data is restricted to employees who need it.
Sharing of data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share it when necessary:
- With service providers: our payment provider MB "Tiverdo BV" and payment processor MakeCommerce.lt (payment processing and distribution); the carrier you choose for delivery — DPD, Posti, Omniva or SmartPosti — which receives your name, phone number, e-mail and delivery address or chosen parcel locker; our e-mail service provider for order e-mails; our hosting partner; and our accountant.
- To comply with legal obligations or to legally defend our rights.
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the business, where data may be transferred.
Retention period
We do not store your data for longer than is necessary for the purposes mentioned above. We retain invoices and order data for seven years, as required by tax legislation. Correspondence without an order is kept for a maximum of two years. Data that we must retain for legal, administrative, or security reasons will be stored for as long as this obligation exists.
Your rights
- Access to and rectification of your personal data.
- Data portability: a copy of your data in a structured format.
- Erasure, except for data we are legally required to keep, and restriction of or objection to certain processing.
- Withdrawal of your consent for commercial communications via the unsubscribe link or by email.
Send your request to info@techvalon.com; we will respond within thirty days. Our supervisory authority is the Finnish Data Protection Authority (Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman, tietosuoja.fi). You can also contact the authority in your own country, for instance in Estonia the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (AKI).
International data transfers
Your data is generally processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). If a service provider outside the EEA is engaged, we rely on a recognised transfer mechanism, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top indicates the last revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically; continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
