Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 DG DN Contemporary L-Mount lens

The Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens for L-Mount cameras redefines the standard for zoom lenses by combining excellent optical performance and a constant f/2.8 aperture with a light and compact design. This lens is based on the proven 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art model, but by starting the focal length at 28mm, the size and weight could be significantly reduced. This makes it ideal for everyday use and offers enormous flexibility for photographers who want to unleash their creativity. The fast and silent stepping motor ensures responsive autofocus, which also makes this lens suitable for videographers looking for a lightweight and powerful system that works well with gimbals.

With its advanced optical design, including aspherical, FLD and SLD elements, this lens effectively corrects longitudinal chromatic aberration and sagittal coma, resulting in pin-sharp images from the centre to the edge. The Super-Multi-Layer and Nano-Porous coatings minimise flares and ghosting, even in backlit conditions, and ensure high contrast. The front lens features a water and oil-repellent coating for extra durability. The use of Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) polycarbonate ensures consistent performance under varying temperatures. The carefully processed zoom and focus rings offer precise mechanics and a high-quality feel, contributing to an enjoyable user experience.
