Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Sony E-mount lens

The Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary is a versatile standard zoom lens, ideal for daily use due to its flexible focal length range of 28 to 70mm. This lens is based on the optical design of the high-quality Sigma 24-70mm Art series, but optimised for portability, offering an excellent balance between performance and compactness. The housing has been kept particularly compact by starting the zoom range at 28mm, making the lens easy to take anywhere. The fast and near-silent autofocus is driven by a stepping motor, ensuring responsive performance. The optical system, consisting of 3 aspherical, 2 FLD and 2 SLD lens elements, effectively corrects axial chromatic aberration and sagittal coma aberration, resulting in sharp image quality from the centre to the corners. The lens features Super Multi-Layer and Nano Porous Coatings to combat flare and ghosting in backlit conditions, while a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front lens provides extra protection and easy cleaning. This makes the lens a reliable choice for various photography genres.
