Sony FX5 Cinema Line camera with XLR Handle

The Sony Cinema Line FX5, complete with XLR Handle, is an advanced camcorder designed for demanding filmmakers. This model is a valuable addition to the Cinema Line and offers unprecedented creative freedom and reliability for professional productions. The camera is slightly wider than its predecessor, the FX3, to accommodate an effective ventilation system that prevents overheating. The heart of the FX5 is formed by a new 16.6MP stacked 5K sensor, which ensures superior low-light performance and significantly reduced rolling shutter thanks to high-speed readout. The powerful Bionz XR2 processor optimises performance, efficiency and supports high-quality 32-bit float audio.

The camera introduces full Open Gate sensor readout, allowing for recordings in 5K 16:9, 5K 17:9 and Super35 crop for anamorphic and vertical reframing. Internal 16-bit RAW recording (X-OCN LT) is possible directly in the camera, making external recorders unnecessary. With a dynamic range of more than 15 stops and Triple Base ISO (800 / 4000 / 12800), you maintain control over contrasts under various lighting conditions. The FX5 excels in slow motion with 5K 120p and 4K 240p. A 3.5-inch multi-axis screen, professional monitoring tools and advanced autofocus based on AI technology from the A7R6 make the FX5 a complete solution for high-end video production.
