The Sony Cinema Line FX3 is a professional video camera specifically designed for the solo filmmaker, with handheld mobility at its core. This model combines cinematic expression with ease of use, making it an ideal choice for both experienced videographers and newcomers to the professional video world. Thanks to internal cooling, this camera can record 4K60p for extended periods, which is essential for long project sessions. For higher quality recordings, it is possible to record 4.2K 60p 16-bit RAW externally via the HDMI Type A output. The camera is equipped with a 10.2 megapixel full-frame CMOS Exmor R Sensor, offering a dynamic range of over 15 stops and performing excellently in low light with an expandable ISO up to 409,800. Cinematic expression is further enhanced by S-Cinetone and S-Log3 picture profiles, producing soft and vivid tones in 4K full-frame quality. The FX3 supports slow-motion recording in 4K at 120 frames per second and full HD up to 240fps. The advanced AI-based Real-time Eye AF and Focus Tracking system ensures precise focusing, which can also be operated via the touchscreen. The design is optimised for handheld use with five 1/4"-20 mounts for accessories, making a cage unnecessary. The detachable top handle adds two XLR and additional 1/4" connections, enabling professional audio recording and versatile setups. The camera is dust and moisture resistant and features image stabilisation with Active Mode for stable handheld shots, and dual memory card slots for CFexpress Type A and SD (UHS II) cards. The battery is swappable and can be charged or powered via USB.
