The Samyang 20mm T1.9 VDSLR ED AS UMC is an ultra-wide-angle lens specifically designed for both filmmakers and photographers who want to utilise the film functionalities of their camera. This lens features manual focusing and a focus ring compatible with follow-focus systems, ensuring smooth and silent adjustment of focus and depth of field during recording. Due to its wide angle of view, it is ideally suited for capturing landscapes and interiors, but it can also function as a bright reportage lens.

The optical design comprises thirteen lens elements in twelve groups, including three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical lenses. This configuration minimises unwanted light scattering and delivers high-resolution images, consistent from edge to edge. Samyang's Ultra Multi Coating optimises light transmission and effectively suppresses flares and ghosting. With a minimum focus distance of just 20 centimetres, subjects can be captured from very close range, while the maximum aperture of T1.9 creates an attractive, blurred background.
