Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens

The Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM is a versatile fixed focal length lens, ideal for everyday photography. This compact and lightweight model is known for its bright f/1.8 aperture, which performs excellently in low-light conditions and allows for precise control over depth of field. It is specifically designed for Canon mirrorless cameras with an RF mount, particularly full-frame models from the EOS R series.

The optical construction includes a precision-moulded aspherical lens element that effectively suppresses spherical aberrations and distortion, resulting in images with high sharpness. Additionally, Super Spectra coating has been applied to minimise lens flare and ghosting, contributing to improved contrast and natural colour reproduction even under bright light. The quiet STM stepping motor ensures fast, smooth, and accurate autofocus for both photography and videography, without distracting noises. A configurable control ring provides easy access to key exposure settings such as aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation. The rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing, soft bokeh. This makes the RF 50mm f/1.8 STM an affordable and powerful choice for portrait, travel, and reportage photography.
