Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD Nikon Z-mount lens

The Tamron 150-500mm f/5.0-6.7 Di III VC VXD lens, designed for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras, offers an impressive telephoto zoom range in a surprisingly compact and manageable size. This lens is ideal for sports and wildlife photography, partly thanks to the advanced VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilisation that provides up to four stops of compensation. The VC offers three settings for various shooting situations, including panning.

The fast and whisper-quiet VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear focus motor ensures accurate autofocus across the entire zoom range. With a minimum focus distance of just 0.6 metres at the 150mm focal length, the lens is also suitable for close-up photography. The robust construction is splash and dust resistant, and the fluorine coating on the front lens element provides extra protection. Optically, the lens consists of 25 elements in 16 groups, including specialised lens elements that minimise chromatic aberrations, resulting in excellent image quality. A handy zoom lock prevents unwanted extension during transport.
