Sigma 17-40mm f/1.8 DC Art Sony E-mount lens

The Sigma 17-40mm f/1.8 DC Art is a fast zoom lens, specially developed for photographers and videographers who work with APS-C mirrorless cameras and value a constant wide aperture. This lens can replace multiple prime lenses with fixed focal lengths and allows users to shoot handheld in low light while easily varying depth of field. The fast and quiet autofocus motor responds appropriately, which is an advantage for both photography and video. The internal zoom mechanism ensures that the length of the lens remains constant during zooming, which is beneficial when used on gimbals or rigs. Additionally, focus breathing is kept to a minimum, enabling smooth focus transitions without distracting image shifts. This model is significantly lighter than comparable previous lenses, making it comfortable to carry. The robust construction with weather-resistant properties and a protective coating on the front element makes the lens suitable for various outdoor conditions. The lens offers flexible control thanks to two programmable AFL buttons and an aperture ring with a click switch and lock, ideal for silent adjustments while filming. For the Canon RF-mount version, there is a control ring instead of the aperture ring.
