The Samyang 20mm T1.9 VDSLR ED AS UMC lens is an ultra-wide-angle lens specially developed for both film and photo cameras. This lens is manually focused and is compatible with follow-focus systems, allowing for smooth and noiseless focus adjustment, which is essential during filming. The wide angle of view makes this lens ideal for capturing vast landscapes and detailed interiors. Thanks to its high speed, the lens can also be used excellently as a reportage lens. The optical design consists of thirteen lens elements in twelve groups, including three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical lenses. This configuration minimises light scattering and guarantees high-resolution images, from the centre to the edges. Samyang’s Ultra Multi Coating ensures optimal light transmission and effectively suppresses flares and ghosting. With a minimum focus distance of only 20 centimetres, you can focus close to the subject. The maximum aperture of T1.9 allows you to shoot with a beautiful blurred background, making your subject stand out prominently.
