DZOFilm Vespid Prime 35mm T2.1 PL/EF-mount lens

This DZOFilm Vespid Prime 35mm T2.1 lens is designed for high-end full-frame cinematography and is part of the Vespid series. Thanks to its relatively compact size and lightweight, it is an excellent choice for use with drones, gimbals, handheld, or run-and-gun shooting. The lens features an interchangeable PL mount, making it compatible with various modern and vintage cine cameras. An included PL to Canon EF mount adapter further extends compatibility.

This prime lens fully covers full-frame sensors with an image circle of 46.5 millimetres, preventing vignetting. When used on a Super35 sensor, this results in a tighter crop. The 16-blade aperture provides natural-looking bokeh and round, out-of-focus highlights, characteristic of Vespid Prime lenses. For precise focusing, the focus ring has 270 degrees of rotation, and the aperture ring 63 degrees. Both rings are equipped with cine-style gear rings, offering compatibility with follow focus units, lens motors, and lens control systems. The lens includes a magnetically attached rear filter for optional ND filters, allowing exposure control without affecting aperture or depth of field. The front of the lens has a 77mm filter thread for direct filter mounting. Coated optics minimise flares and specular highlights, contributing to natural contrast.
